They have country music and urban music, but no SUB-urban music! How about all us middle-class schmucks who live in subdivisions? Guess I'll have to start it...

After I mow my lawn I think I'll grill
it always give me such a thrill
Saturday I'll wash my car
Hope my next game's under par

You remember Martin Mull? Many years ago singing the white guy blues playing slide ukelele?

Woke up this mornin',
Both cars were gone.
(repeat)
Felt so broken=hearted,
I threw my drink across the lawn.

I believe Mr. Mull said that he learned the blues from his uncle, who owned a Ford dealership in a small town in Ohio.

I have a couple of his really early albums (Martin Mull)
While we are on the comedy/music thing, enyone else own some early Steve Martin (like 'Get Small') ? That guy can play some banjo, something fierce. His 'foggy mountain breakdown' is awesome (along with the Nixon and Carter stuff)

Or how about the early Chevy Chase album with parodies galore - Short People, Rapper's Plight, I Shot the Sheriff, et al - very funny stuff with a good band. I heard he used the 'Stuff' band for the recording, but Tom Scott arranged all the horns and led the horn section. I know that for sure.

Ahh Stuff - I gotta go dig out some of their 'stuff' ...
Most of those cats were also featured on Paul Simon albums for a while, and in that 'One Trick Pony' movie he made, acting as the band. Good memories, my how the mind takes off with a little stimuli

Eric Gale, Richard Tee, Steve Gadd - man those guys could play.
Fer the young 'uns -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M1bEYHJJA8&feature=related
(Steve Gadd feature)
Very hard to believe these guys started as a bunch of guys showing up on 'jam night' in NY.
They were all very established as studio guys, but what a place to hang out; where guys like this just show up for jam night!

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Fans of the commuter-belt/gangsta crossover genre would be well advised to check out Weird Al Jankovic's seminal "White & Nerdy".

I'd post a link to it here, but that would be in contravention of the recently reposted forum rules.
