When the ACW has a problem with even the simple three-chorder, it is likely due to the quality of the audio file. This can be anything from the amplitude of the file being either too high or too low -- which I've found to be very important, the average peaks of the file should be around -6dB for best results -- or the file may have noise in it, things like that.

Heavily compressed audio file seems to confuse the filters more also.

When the ACW first came out, I experimented with the same audio file but at different levels in order to find out about that magic point around the -6dB mark. It can go higher or lower than that, but not too much or for too long.
