I am using BiaB 2010 build 293 and running on a PC 32 bit machine.
Okay, I must not read well. It is not a major issue but came up while looking through a tutorial. In the Manual (yep I do read those) there a multiple instances of this explanation:
"The Piano Roll may be opened as a movable window, which floats above the Band-in-a-Box main window, or it
may be opened embedded, in the same position as the Chord Sheet/Notation panels in the Band-in-a-Box main
window"
I never see an explanation for how to make it a movable window! It is no real big deal but using a split screen with Piano Roll on one side and the Chord sheet on the other would be nice. So, does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Rich,
Go to - Window - along the very top and in the drop down you will see a number of Movable items including Movable Piano Roll Window
I agree it is not very clear in the Help files

You see, ask a silly question and get a quick and accurate response. You are right about the help files, that could really be explained in them. Thanks.
BTW, is there a complete and extensive manual that explains all BiaB features for BiaB 2010 or do you have to use all previous manuals to understand BiaB completely?

Right now we're stuck with using two manuals. Both should be in your bb folder as .pdfs.
One is the Main Manual and is labeled as the BiaB 2009 Manual.
The second is the addendum, BiaB 2010 features.
Yeah, but its what we got.
And it is GREAT to see another manual reader around here!

Print it out and you can be an manual manual reader. Otherwise you have an electronic manual reader. Just some kindle for the fire....

If you hover the mouse cursor over the piano roll button for a bit the pop-up tool tip says, among other things, that holding down the shift key before clicking will also launch the Piano Roll in a movable window. Gotta love those tool tips!

Good catch, Ed. I missed the fine print,
The piano roll is not "floatable" -- it's movable only within the BiaB main window.
A movable Notation window can be dragged full size (they won't scale) onto a second monitor.
