He charged *one million dollars* to play that one gig.
Here we see a good example of how Capitalism trumps ideology...
I mean, for a million bucks for one gig, you could get me an' GoDaddy to play a Communist Party Convention, no problem.
And we'd both be smilin' the whole time, too!

GDaddy...we love your off-the wall posts! Are you a conservative, by any rare chance?? I suspect that alot of conservatives are Elton John fans. Liberals are so hateful that they are trashing Elton John for making a living entertaining. If this was a wedding for a big liberal and conservatives objected would anyone write a story about it. The reality is only 20% of Americans identify themselves as liberal yet we have the liberals running the country right now and they show NO tolerance for anyone not marching to thier beat. Guess what libs? In November we are taking back our country and I hope when a Republican President gets elected in 2012 he or she invites Elton John to sing at the inagural ball.
