Hey everyone...I posted an instrumental a while back and I called it "The Smell Of Jazz Man"...well I found a partial lyric sheet from years ago where I had began a song to that core style and chord structure...It was called "Dream Weaver"...I wrote it for my son to sing but that hasn't happened so here's my lame vocal demo...I love the combo of inspirational/smooth jazz (I think I just invented a genre)...anyway, I hope you like it...the vocals suck...this is a younger man's song but the track is cool thanks to BiaB.

After working in the yard this morning my family said what do you want to do today. I said leave me alone in my studio. They did and this is the quick and dirty jam that came out of today's work.

I deleted the bass and guitar tracks.

Piano = Keys of the 70's - preset Stage Mark 32. I modified the track to better fit the song.
Drums = Steven Slate SSD 5 - Deluxe = preset Funk 2
Percussion - GM Soundfont

I am playing the guitar (Kramer NightRider) and the bass (Squire P-Bass) both through Amplitube presets.

The only FX is the Presonus Compression on the main output.

I was just having some fun but let me know what you think of this little quick and dirty and quirky jam.

It took me nearly a month to compose it the way I wanted it. So it was a bit difficult. In between I made 'Nice time After All' to set my mind on something else.

Here's a song with a bit of a mystery in it. It's never revealed 'what happened that night', although it does lead us to the consequences --and it does bring closure.

Samba in Bluegrass? That's weird, but I'm not a fan of categories, other than for organization. The 2nd verse needed something different. Enter the high-stung guitar. The banjo solo had to be done in two parts. The first part ran out of gas so I spliced in a full tank. Bill Davis, aka Zydecoal, added the harmony and a pedal steel for the bridge. I sang and played bass –'tho' never at the same time. Thanks for listening, commenting and suggesting improvement.

This song is loosely based on an old acquaintance of mine, who as a young man fell hopelessly in love with a girl. She initially showed interest in him, but nothing ever came of it. Both went through some withdrawals, but time is a great healer. He is now very happily married to a beautiful wife, and is a pastor of a very successful church today. RT's/RD's listed below. Feels like it's been a while since I've made my way to the board . . . now trying to play a little catch up on my listens. Some truly wonderful tunes out there, making for a fine Sunday morning of listening. I've been in a bit of rut musically, with not much coming together easy . . . but here's another collaboration with Carroll Kiphen that I'm hoping is well enough along to share.

June 01, 2021 User Showcase Song - Walk in the Park

This is a song I did up in 2011 when I first purchased Band in a Box. I only had about two or three songs to play so my wife banned me from playing it in the house because she heard it continually all day. I eventually forgot about it. When going through my old folders I found it and decided to give it a make over. This is the 2021 version

As I was new with BIAB quite a few of the styles had midi instruments. I kept the midi instruments and got some very nice sounds using the Presonus instruments and BBC Symphony instruments.
