RealTracks Artist Bio: Avery Bright


Award-winning violinist Avery Bright holds Bachelor's and Master's music degrees in violin performance, but he has never lost his feeling for traditional bluegrass music. He now lives in Nashville, where his combination of classical technique and bluegrass heart has made him a popular choice for backing such notable artists as Steven Curtis Chapman, Bela Fleck, Laura Bell Bundy, Neil Sedaka, Kansas, Ray Price and the Cherokee Cowboys, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Casting Crowns, Natalie Grant, Selah, Matthew West, Nicole Nordeman, modern hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty, Nashville songwriters Chris Tompkins and Josh Kear, Marvin Hamlisch, Ragdoll, Wiley Chandler, Graham Colton, Daniel Bashta, Uncle Skeleton, Paper Route, Tye Tribbett, Aaron Parker, Marvin Etzioni, Mike Hicks, Chad Harris, Lost Hollow, and the list keeps growing.

Avery also plays viola, mandolin, and acoustic guitar, and is an accomplished string arranger, as heard in his arrangements for the Band-in-a-Box string quartet styles. In addition to his work in the studio and on stage, he is an accredited Suzuki violin teacher and a symphony violinist with the Paducah Symphony (KY), Hunstville Symphony (AL),Bowling Green Symphony (KY), and Murfreesboro Symphony (TN).
